Recommendations for the protection of useful flora and fauna objects: When working with the preparation, it is necessary to prevent the preparation and its working solutions from entering water bodies, sewer systems, and soil surface. Wells and other sources of drinking water should be carefully closed.
The drug belongs to the 3rd hazard class for bees (low hazard). The use of the pesticide Sickle requires compliance with the provisions set out in the “Instructions for the prevention of bee poisoning with pesticides” M., Gosagroprom of the USSR, 1989 and the following environmental regulations:

It is necessary to comply with the general requirements of the “Instructions for the prevention of bee poisoning by pesticides” (Moscow, GAP USSR 1989), in particular, a preliminary (4-5 days) notification of local public and individual beekeepers (by print, radio) about the nature of the planned the use of plant protection products, the period and areas of its application.
The use of the drug in the water protection zone of water bodies is prohibited.
First aid for poisoning:
In case of poisoning, the victim must be removed from the danger zone, taken to a well-ventilated area or to fresh air, change clothes, rinse mouth with warm water.
If the product comes into contact with the skin, immediately remove contaminated clothing, remove the preparation with a paper towel, a piece of cloth or cotton wool, avoiding rough rubbing of the skin, and then thoroughly wash the skin with soap and water.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean, running water.
If the drug enters the stomach, rinse the mouth with water, give the victim a few glasses of water with a suspension of activated carbon (at the rate of 1 g of sorbent per 1 kg of body weight), cause vomiting by irritating the posterior pharyngeal wall; Repeat this several times to more completely remove the drug from the body (vomiting is caused in conscious patients), then drink a glass of water with activated charcoal again (1 g per kg of body weight) and consult a doctor immediately.
In places of work with the drug should be a first aid kit.
In all cases of poisoning after first aid, the victim must consult a doctor.
There is no specific antidote. The treatment is symptomatic.
Telephone and address for emergency treatment in case of poisoning: if necessary, consult a poison control center: 129090, Moscow, Bolshaya Sukharevskaya ploshchad 3, korp. 7, Federal State Institution “Scientific and Practical Toxicology Center of FMBA of Russia” (works around the clock). Tel (495) 628-16-87, fax (495) 621-68-85
Safety measures during transportation, use and storage of the pesticide: in order to prevent poisoning when working with the drug, the safety precautions specified in the “Hygienic requirements for the safety of testing processes, storage, transportation, sale, use, disposal and disposal of pesticides and agrochemicals”, SanPiN 1.2.2584-10 and in the “Safety Instructions for the Storage, Transport and Use of Pesticides in Agriculture” (M, 2001).
During work, observe the rules of personal hygiene. At the workplace it is forbidden to eat, drink, smoke.
All work with the drug (opening containers, refueling sprayers, spraying and other work in the treated areas) should be carried out with the mandatory use of personal protective equipment: respirator, safety glasses, cotton overalls, hats, safety shoes. Persons engaged in the preparation of the working solution must have aprons and sleeves made of film fabric. Every week, overalls should be degassed in a soap-soda solution (2.5% soap and 0.5% soda ash), followed by washing in the same solution. Wash rubber gloves and boots with water.
At the places of use of the drug should be a first aid kit.
The drug should be stored in a working factory packaging, equipped with a label indicating the name of the drug and the date of its manufacture. Storage at temperatures from minus 5ºС to plus 30ºС. Storage of the drug together with food and fodder is not allowed. Storage of the drug is allowed only in warehouses specially designed for this purpose that meet sanitary requirements separately from other pesticides. The warehouse should protect the pesticide from direct sunlight, moisture, contamination and mechanical damage.
Transportation of the drug according to GOST 14189-81 by all types of vehicles in accordance with the rules of transportation for each type of vehicle.
Joint transport and storage of the drug with feed and food products is not allowed. Transportation of people with the drug is not allowed.
21. Pesticide application technology: ground spraying of weeds with commercially available boom ground sprayers: OP-2000-2-01, OP-2000, OPSH-15-01, OM-630-2. The flow rate of the working fluid is 200-300 l / ha.
The preparation of the working fluid is carried out at stationary points of the SZS-10 type or with the help of mobile units (АПР, “Temp” or АПЖ-12), which allow thoroughly stirring the drug with water in special containers. The working solution is prepared immediately before spraying. Measure the required amount of the drug for one refueling sprayer. To prepare the mother liquor, the container (bucket) is filled ¼ with water, then a measured amount of the herbicide is added, mix thoroughly, add water to the full volume.
Next, the working solution is prepared as follows: the sprayer tank is filled approximately half with water, the mother liquor of the herbicide is poured into it, while the residual preparation is washed several times with water from the container in which the mother liquor was prepared. After that, the tank is filled with water to the full volume and the solution is mixed with mechanical stirrers.
The working fluid should be prepared at specially equipped filling stations, the sites of which should be asphalt or concrete and have a sanitary protection zone of at least 200 m, which must be neutralized after completion of work.
Methods for disposal of spilled pesticide, and methods for disposal, disposal of containers and pesticide residues:
The disposal, disposal of pesticide residues and the destruction of containers is carried out in accordance with the action of the “Interim Instructions for the Preparation for the Burial of Prohibited and Unsuitable Pesticides and Containers for Use in Agriculture” (VNIPIagrokhim, Ryazan. 1989)
All neutralization measures are carried out using personal protective equipment in a room equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation or in the open air, on a specially equipped site.
If a significant amount of the drug enters the soil, it should be prevented from entering the sewers or water bodies. Absorb spilled preparation with sawdust, sand or earth. Neutralize the contaminated sorbent and soil with 10% soda ash solution or 7% freshly slaked lime gruel, collect in a labeled container, seal the containers and send them for further disposal to places agreed upon with the regional environmental authorities and the State Sanitary-Epidemiological Inspection. Dig the contaminated earth to the depth of the bayonet of a shovel.
Methods for the destruction or disposal of a pesticide: the destruction and disposal of a preparation, waste not subject to disposal, containers from the preparation shall be carried out in accordance with the “Temporary Instructions for the preparation for disposal of prohibited and unsuitable for use in agriculture pesticides and containers from them”, VNIPIagrokhim, Ryazan, 1989.
The disposal of pesticide residues is carried out in specially designated areas. All work related to the disposal of pesticide residues should be carried out in consultation with the local sanitary and epidemiological control authorities and in full compliance with local laws.
Methods for the destruction of pesticide containers: disposal of containers under the preparation is carried out in accordance with GOST 17.2.3.02 and GOST 14189-81. All neutralization measures are carried out using personal protective equipment in a room equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation or outdoors in a specially equipped area.
The container from the preparation is washed three to four times with water, the wash water is used to prepare the working solution by spraying. Then the container is treated with a solution of bleach for 10-15 hours, thoroughly rinsed with water, rendered unsuitable for reuse and sent to enterprises for incineration or burial in places agreed with the local sanitary and epidemiological control authorities.
